Three Decades of Advocacy and Success
Vince Rabago has been practicing law for more than 30 years. He began his career in litigation in the private sector in San Diego, California, where he worked in civil litigation. He represented individuals, businesses, and worked on significant cases or issues responding to the aftermath of the 90′s Savings & Loan Crisis. In 1994, Vince entered public service.
For the next 16 years — prior to opening his own law office — Vince was a prosecutor. Vince worked for more than 8 years in San Diego as a state prosecutor for the California Attorney General. In the public sector, Vince worked on criminal and constitutional litigation in state and federal court, as well as appellate court representation and litigation on significant high profile cases.
In 2002, Vince returned to Arizona and became an Assistant Attorney General for the Arizona Attorney General’s office. Vince continued his work on appellate and state court criminal and constitutional litigation, as well as civil habeas litigation in federal court. Beginning in 2005, Vince investigated and prosecuted civil business fraud cases for the AG’s Consumer Protection unit. In that role, he worked on national, statewide, and local fraud investigations and cases. This work included consumer fraud investigations of national and global corporations, as well as mortgage and foreclosure fraud investigations, and investigations or cases against predatory lenders.
As a state prosecutor in California and Arizona, Vince has worked on criminal, civil, or constitutional matters at all levels, including the Arizona Supreme Court, the California Supreme Court, U.S. District Court, the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Over the years, Vince has worked on high-profile cases on a national, statewide, and local level. Among the organizational clients which he has represented in high-profile cases or in Amicus “friend of the court” briefs, are the State of California, the State of Arizona, the National Consumer Law Center, the National Bankruptcy Attorneys Association, the Southwest Fair Housing Counsel, and the American Friends Service Committee.
Vince Rabago has extensive experience winning appeals, including federal and state appeals, and in the U.S. Supreme Court, filing and opposing Petitions for Writ of Certiorari. His work has resulted in numerous published cases that have both established and shaped the law in California, Arizona, and the federal system. Vince has extensive experience in civil and constitutional litigation in both state and federal court, including work on significant high profile litigation, and appellate court experience.
Vince has years of experience providing advice to both non-profit corporations and for-profit business entities, regarding contracts, corporate or business formation, and related regulatory and compliance matters.
In 2023, Vince served as the Chief Counsel of the Consumer Advocacy & Protection Section of the Arizona Attorney General’s Office during the first year of the new administration, supervising four units and a 4.2 million budget, including the Consumer Litigation Unit, the Antitrust & Privacy Unit, the Consumer Information & Complaint Unit and a newly formed Worker Protection Unit. His role included overseeing the launch of the new worker protection unit, and supervising fraud litigation and other cases. There, he served as the State of Arizona’s Counsel of Record in high profile MDL litigation, supervised Big Pharma opioid settlements involving millions of dollars, and directly negotiated a 13 million dollar settlement amount with a national Telcom company, among other matters.
